Honeybee Pediatric Dentistry Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 2026
Honeybee Pediatric Dentistry ("Honeybee," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect information when you visit honeybee.dental (the "Site") and when you contact us or book an appointment through the Site.
This policy covers information collected through the Site. Health information you provide to us as a patient of the practice is handled under our obligations as a healthcare provider, including HIPAA, and is described in our separate Notice of Privacy Practices. That notice is different from this website Privacy Policy.
Information We Collect
Information you give us. When you use the contact form on our Site or email us, we collect the information you choose to provide, such as your name, email address, phone number, and the contents of your message.
Information you provide when booking. Appointment scheduling and our patient portal are handled by Archy, a third-party service, at patient.portal.archy.com. Information you enter there is collected and processed by Archy under Archy's own privacy practices, not this policy.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our Site may automatically collect limited technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, and the dates and times of your visits. We use analytics tools (for example, Google Analytics) and standard server logs from our hosting provider to understand how visitors use the Site. This information helps us maintain and improve the Site.
Cookies and Similar Technologies
Our Site uses cookies and similar technologies. A cookie is a small file stored on your device that helps the Site function, remembers your preferences, and helps us understand how the Site is used.
We use a cookie consent tool (CookieYes) so you can review and manage your cookie preferences. You can accept or decline non-essential cookies through that tool, and you can also control cookies through your browser settings. Some cookies are necessary for the Site to work and cannot be turned off.
Depending on your choices, some cookies (such as analytics cookies) may be associated with information that identifies your device or browsing activity.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Respond to your questions, requests, and appointment inquiries.
- Provide and coordinate dental care and follow up with you about your visit or your child's visit.
- Operate, maintain, and improve the Site.
- Send you practice updates or occasional messages about services, when you have opted to receive them.
- Meet our legal, regulatory, and professional obligations.
If we send you promotional messages, you can opt out at any time by using the unsubscribe option in the message or by contacting us. We do not sell or rent your personal information.
How We Share Your Information
We share information only as needed to run the practice and the Site, including with:
- Archy, for appointment scheduling and the patient portal.
- Google, for the map shown on our Site and, if enabled, for website analytics.
- Our website host (Webflow), which stores and delivers the Site.
- Our cookie consent provider (CookieYes), which records your cookie preferences.
We may also share information when required by law, to protect the rights, safety, or property of the practice or others, or in connection with a business transfer. We do not sell your personal information.
PHI and Sensitive Information
This Site is not a secure channel for protected health information (PHI). The contact form and email are not encrypted for transmitting health details. Please do not include your child's medical or dental history, symptoms, diagnoses, or treatment details in the contact form or in emails to us.
To discuss care or share health information, please call the office or use the secure patient portal. As noted above, health information you provide to us as a patient is governed by HIPAA and our Notice of Privacy Practices.
Children's Privacy
Our Site is intended for use by parents and guardians, not by children. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 through the Site. If you believe a child has provided us information through the Site, please contact us and we will delete it.
Third-Party Links and Services
Our Site links to and embeds services operated by others, including Google Maps, the Archy booking portal, and our Facebook and Instagram pages. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of these third parties. When you leave our Site or use one of these services, that third party's privacy policy applies.
How We Protect Your Information
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect the information collected through the Site. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. This is another reason we ask that you not send confidential health information through the contact form.
Data Retention
We keep information collected through the Site only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, to provide and coordinate care, and to meet our legal and recordkeeping obligations, after which we take steps to delete or de-identify it.
Your Choices and Rights
You may contact us at any time to:
- Ask what information we have about you.
- Correct inaccurate information.
- Request that we delete information related to you.
- Opt out of promotional messages.
- Raise any concern about how we use your information.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Significant changes will be reflected on this page.
